With the launch of Context Studio, agents are becoming more trustworthy and reliable, increasing usage and surfacing deep insights across the company.
In this edition of Hex in the Wild, we're spotlighting how builders across data, marketing, and operations use Hex to validate identity documents at scale, predict churn before it happens, and sharpen affiliate program performance—all without waiting on engineering.

What I built
Gojob is a French staffing platform that connects workers to short-term job placements across warehouses, logistics, and light industrial roles.
Every worker who registers on our platform has to submit a social security ID card to verify their employment eligibility. We used to pay a third-party vendor to process roughly 30,000 identification cards monthly. I built a Hex app that allowed my team to extract applicant information from images of ID cards, write results back to BigQuery, and validate the model’s accuracy of the information extracted. Hex's Python integration let us embed our existing model without rebuilding anything, and dynamic parameters made the interface accessible with minimal instructions. After validating 720 documents, we confirmed the model was production-ready. Our cost per document reviewed dropped from €0.12 to €0.03, saving roughly €36K annually.

Building a customer health scorecard to predict churn and expansion 🔁

What I built
Profound helps companies automatically create marketing content. As the company's only analytics engineer, I built a customer health dashboard that tracks accounts across their entire lifecycle.
The platform combines product engagement data, performance metrics, and enrichment data to assign priority scores and identify churn risk or expansion opportunities. Using Hex's formatting functions, I color-coded tables to highlight which features customers are underutilizing or exceeding thresholds on—making it immediately clear what account managers should discuss. The dashboard includes benchmark tabs comparing each customer to similar accounts in their segment, plus separate views for product engagement, reliability, outcomes, and customer success metrics.
Hex's ability to layer SQL queries with dynamic filters and visualizations in one place meant I could build the entire scorecard without engineering resources. The Notebook Agent helped debug complex logic along the way. Engagement managers now filter to their specific accounts and prepare renewal and expansion conversations proactively.

What I built
Descript makes video editing software that helps creators and professionals produce polished content without a production team.
I oversee thousands of partners, who drive leads to our website, and needed a clear view of who was driving leads. I built a weekly performance dashboard that visualizes each partner's share of the affiliate program over time, making it immediately obvious when a new partner surges, when an existing one drops off, or when two partners cannibalize each other’s traffic. The Notebook Agent helped me build the report and visualize traffic sources week over week. The stacked bar chart combines partner-level drill-downs with a program-wide view, helping me spot risk and identify long-tail partners worth developing. It has become my go-to resource for weekly program health checks and stakeholder updates.
