Partner Solutions Engineer

locationSF, NYC, or Remote (US)

About the role:

This is a ground floor opportunity to build the next generation of our partner function at Hex. Our partnerships team is a mission critical aspect of our GTM strategy. This role represents all things technical in Hex partnerships: demos, storyboards, integrations, training, enablement, certifications, and more.

What you will do:

  • Youโ€™ll wear many hats and run fast with an amazing team
  • Design and own the technical enablement curriculum for Hex's SI/consulting partner ecosystem โ€” certification tracks, hands-on workshops, sandbox environments, and reference assets partners can learn from and reuse
  • Build and maintain a partner-facing demo library so partner teams can run strong Hex demos on their own
  • Run technical onboarding for new partners โ€” kickoff enablement, joint solutioning sessions, and architecture reviews that get their practice teams to competency fast
  • Deliver live and recorded trainings, workshops, and office hours on a recurring cadence to scale partner self-sufficiency over time
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for top partners on complex or strategic deals โ€” proof-of-value support, architecture design, and technical objection handling
  • Produce partner-facing technical collateral: solution briefs, implementation guides, best-practice docs, and demo scripts
  • Channel technical feedback from partner engagements back to Product and Engineering to close integration or capability gaps that slow partner-led delivery
  • Track and report on partner enablement health โ€” certifications completed, partners demo-independent, time-to-first-deal โ€” tied to partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline

About You:

  • Youโ€™re a builder
  • 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture, ideally with experience enabling channel, SI, or consulting partners rather than only direct customers
  • Hands-on fluency with SQL and Python, and comfort building and demoing end-to-end analytics workflows in a notebook-style environment
  • Experience designing training curricula or enablement programs from scratch โ€” you build the content, not just deliver someone else's deck
  • Strong live-presentation and demo skills, and energy for being in front of partner teams on a regular cadence rather than occasional set-piece moments
  • Working knowledge of the modern data stack (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, etc.) and how SI partners typically scope and staff analytics engagements
  • A track record of earning trust with partner practice leads, solution architects, and delivery teams at consulting/SI firms
  • High ownership and a bias toward building โ€” this program doesn't exist yet, so you're creating the infrastructure, not maintaining it
  • Willingness to travel roughly 25-30% for partner enablement sessions, workshops, and field events
